SPAIN - I went on a trip recently that was part family reunion, part assignment, and part bonafide adventure. My first stop was Madrid, to see my brother who now works and lives in Spain’s capital as a real Madrileno. From there, I was off on what would turn into working, dancing, and sunning in the aesthetically stunning city of San Sebastian, six hours by bus north of Madrid. Check out the slideshows below to catch a slice of the beauty and character I gobbled up in each of the cities. Photos from Ramona, California and San Diego
West Coast Beauty
August 6, 2009

CALIFORNIA - In May, I visited Los Angeles, California to honor my sister and cousin, who were graduating from a prestigious Law School and undergraduate university, respectively. Deciding that mountains should be a priority, my immediate family followed my mother to Ramona, California. It was about 20 - 30 minutes away from San Diego, where my sister would be continuing her legal studies. With two different landscapes before me, I captured some of what the West Coast has to offer in the area of natural beauty. Take a peek below at the photo slideshow, or here to see the photos one-by-one.

SEEKONK, MA - With a panorama offering a range of crusty and dusty to waxed and stacked, and a day in April offering mid-July weather, the 2009 New England Dustoff came and went. This annual car show - my first - held at Seekonk Speedway in Massachusetts, was held this year on the 26th of April. Attracting people from all ethnic backgrounds, any age, and of each gender, this event offered visual stimulation as well as a haven for new philosophies: rusty can be just as valuable as shiny; Heidi Klum isn’t the German model being referred to; the do-it-yourself ethos doesn’t refer to knitting circles; and what’s beautiful may be outside, but it’s what’s inside that most flock to first.

Check out the slide show below or click here to see more photos and captions from the event.
